Greetings everyone,
Happy last week of summer... and almost "Move-In" day -- better stake your parking place out now! This week's bigger than average titles include "Cemetery Junction" (written, directed and starring Ricky Gervais), "Furry Vengeance" (animated w/lots of star voices), and "The Last Song" (w/Miley Cyrus and Greg Kinnear). I watched Ji-woon Kim's violent, but often comical, Korean western "The Good, the Bad, the Weird" last weekend. It's worth it for the action sequences alone. Also in this week: the 1927 "Chicago", "Four Seasons Lodge" ("... follows a community of Holocaust survivors who come together each summer..."), and "Nollywood Babylon" (a documentary about the Nigerian film industry). The most anticipated BluRay release of the week is Kenneth Branagh's 1996 "Hamlet" -- it even comes in a fancy hard-back book case.
Please note: We are mid-way through our last week of summer hour mode: Monday-Thursday (11am - 10pm), Friday-Saturday (11am - midnight) and Sunday (noon - 10pm) -- next week we go back to opening at 10:00 on weekdays.
